Abstract
In this series Sophia works on “Let it Go”. Letting go of her clean lines, letting go of her way of working and letting go of certain thinking patterns, but in her recognizable use of color. In this series she started painting intuitively. She is in the middle of a painting process in which new ideas and developments have arisen. “I think it is very important to use different techniques, surfaces and materials, to be able to develop myself.”

2022Inspired by the drought where rain is an extremely important element. Harvest that is saved by this and that it grows and blooms again. In the painting, the colors literally flow into each other. The painting is finished with a layer of varnish. Sides are painted. The artwork has an aluminum frame with a sliding suspension system.
